Abstract Submission Guidelines

Guidelines for Abstract Submission
1. General Conditions

• All submissions must be original work.
• Studies or presentations that have been previously published or presented must be fully disclosed; otherwise, they will not be accepted.
• All content must be evidence-based and free from any commercial bias.
• The SAN Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit abstracts for clarity, grammar, and formatting.

2. Structure of Submission

• Title:
  • Do not use abbreviations.
  • Only proper nouns should be capitalized.
• Main Author:
  • The main author will be considered the presenting author.

3. Ethical Requirements

• All research must align with the Declaration of Helsinki.
• IRB/IRC/ERB approval is mandatory for original research article.
• Case reports must include written informed consent from the patient.
• Any incorrect or misleading ethical statements will result in immediate rejection.

4. Conflict of Interest

• Authors must declare all financial or professional conflicts of interest from the past three years.
• Conflicts must also be verbally disclosed during the presentation.

5. Abstract Review & Corrections

• All abstracts will undergo blinded peer review by national and international experts.
• Authors may be asked to submit corrections before the final deadline.
• After the official submission deadline, no changes will be accepted.
• Duplicate submissions will be automatically rejected.

6. Acceptance Requirements
Once an abstract is accepted, the presenting author must submit:

• All presenting authors must be registered for SANCON 2026 in order to present.
• HOD permission letter for residents or fellows
• The final PowerPoint presentation in the SAN-approved format will be provided on the conference portal 

8. Presentation Rules

• An individual may not submit multiple abstracts (Usually, only one oral presentation slot is granted; additional slots may be allowed only in exceptional cases.)
• Audiovisual setup includes an LCD projector and microphone.
• Personal laptops may be brought into the hall but cannot be used for presentations.
• Presenters must submit the complete presentation file well in advance.

9. Professional Conduct
All presenters must ensure:

• Respect for ethnic, cultural, religious, and gender diversity
• Use of unbiased, evidence-based scientific content
• No promotion of commercial products
