Aims & Scope of Workshop

1. Overview of the Organizing Institute

The workshop is proposed by Dr. Bipin Karki in collaboration with the Nepal Society of Critical Care Medicine (NSCCM, which owns the Acute Care Ultrasound training materials. The program will run as an endorsed pre-conference workshop on “SANCON 2026”, organized by the Society of Anaesthesiologists of Nepal (SAN) in collaboration with NSCCM

2. Workshop Objectives

• To strengthen point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills among clinicians working in critical and acute care settings.
• To introduce systematic ultrasound approaches for shock, respiratory failure, abdominal emergencies, and vascular access.
• To enhance confidence in bedside diagnostic and procedural ultrasound use.

To promote standardized training aligned with NSCCM’s Acute Care Ultrasound curriculum.
